A career in the construction industry, work in interesting places, tough jobs, and interesting people — all add up to an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Experience working in diverse roles — contractor, engineer, consultant, expert, adjudicator, arbitrator and mediator — has provided, and still provides the stimulus for growth through teamwork.
The opportunities afforded me along the career path, and the knowledge received from so many peers, clients and co-workers, have been fantastic.
While I was in many successful ventures, I know that nobody “starts” anything on their own — it all depends on teamwork and sharing ideas, energy and drive with others.
I hope this blog will trigger ideas that benefit the reader in some way: starting a career, building a project, developing a company, optimizing a solution, or resolving issues.
The objectives are: keeping things interesting, giving a perspective view “from the field” of the construction industry, lessons learned, and hopefully having some fun along the way.
For example, here are a few topics to touch on:
CAREERS
Construction engineering
starting out with a degree and little else
changing jobs, changing countries
growing in responsible charge
COMPANIES
starting out your own company

the how
the where
the when
building a company from scratch

keeping up the momentum
ANALYSIS

NEUTRAL EVALUATION

CURRENT TOPICS

Well that’s a start. I think there is a lot I could get into. Please join me in the fascinating world of blogging.
